Lets see, one thing i say is that most of your items here fall to volcanic fallout and those that cant are left suspectable to block. Its a good deck and you've got a lot of pumpup's in there be be careful against a deck like jund or red/black or anything in general that can clear all the elves pump ups.

Ditch Scarred Vinebreeder, get a Heedless One or Sylvan Messenger.

Timberwatch Elf is a good alternative to Scarred Vinebreeder.


In all honesty, i think the red is completely unnecessary. All you have that is red is Bloodbraid and Lightning Bolt, which isn't really part of an elf deck, and it just doesn't contribute to the tribal plays. Get some Voice of the Woods or Elvish Promenade. More Eyeblight's Endings never hurt. Also, forget Savage Lands, get some Vivid Groves or Vivid Marshes.

You have a point on the scarred Vinebreeder, but I was also planning to add some Naya Hushblades (a 3/2 Shroud being cascaded from Bloodbraid adds 2 elves), and I like the fact that I'm not only getting a 3/2 Haster for 4 (which is already good), but also I'm getting another elf (such as Hushblade or Perfect (which then turns bloodbraid into a 4/3 haster)). Also, if I'm taking out the vinebreeders, that would be so long to the savra - sac N' win combo (sac my elves, get 4 tokens to sac, gain 8 life, make them sac something, vinebreeder gets + 3), but I might want to get rid of that. I'm building this deck so that the red is really for rushing early and the black is to gain card advantage. Green is the heart of it. I don't like the vivids because they do the same thing as Savage lands, but only to an extent. I don't ever need a white or blue mana and I don't have reflecting pool.

This is going to be my tribal - aggro deck, but aggro needs to be rethunk =P

I still think red has no place in an elvish tribal deck. Anyway, Elvish Visionary is an alternative also.

I don't really like visionary. For early game, he could be so much better as a Lanowar Elves and for late game he could be so much better as a Talara's Battalion =P

But you still need to order the decks
